Our Impact
Family Promise of Albuquerque allows communities to develop comprehensive, holistic solutions for families facing homelessness. Families come to us in crisis; our strengths based approach of coordinated compassion helps them rebuild their lives with new and redeveloped skills and ongoing support
CHANGING LIVES
Nationally, over the past 30+ years, we have provided shelter, meals, case management, homelessness prevention and stabilization services to nearly 1 million family members.
Locally, over the past 18 years, we have provided shelter, meals, case management, transportation, and a community of support for over 500 families. In 2020 alone we served over 80 families with shelter, prevention and stabilization services.
KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER
We believe families should stay together — not be separated — during the most difficult times in their lives. In order to honor this we accept families however the define themselves and insure that each family has an individual space to call their own in our shelter program.
ACHIEVING SUCCESS
Family Promise of Albuquerque has consistently seen more than 94% of families in our shelter program secure and maintain housing because of our intensive case management and community support. More than 85% of our families have at least one adult who maintains, secures or advances in employment well in our shelter program. 97% of the families who complete our shelter program and follow-up services remain housed for at least two years.
ENGAGING VOLUNTEERS
Collectively across all the Family Promise Affiliates, we mobilize more than 200,000 dedicated volunteers who make a tremendous difference in families’ lives—and in their communities.
Family Promise of Albuquerque utilizes the support of about 700 volunteers. These volunteers provide not only their time and talent but also create a network of support around the families who go thorugh our shelter program.
